Greetings and  Assal amu Alaikum!

The Islamic Speakers Bureau of Atlanta announced the members of the inaugural class of the Institute for Muslim Civic Leadership.  The selection process was competitive and 22 diverse individuals were selected.  The ISB thanks those who applied to the program and our interviewers.  IMCL's kick-off dinner took place on September 14 and the first of workshops was September 15.  IMCL will be hosted at Kennesaw State University.  The nine month program includes one Saturday per month in workshop in skills building, applying the skills to an assigned project, mentoring and "stretch" assignments.

"We are very excited about IMCL.  It is the first leadership institute developed and designed by Georgia Muslims with the communities needs in mind.  We have many people and organizations to thank for partnering with us to make this dream come true," said  Soumaya Khalifa, Executive Director of the Islamic Speakers Bureau of Atlanta.
