Help Us by  Registering Early!
Early Bird Registration Deadline is Sunday, July 1
We are a bunch of Early Birds at the MAFP office so the earlier you register, the more we can do for you.   A meeting of this size takes a lot of advance preparation - making packets, nametags, confirming numbers for events so we would be grateful if you would register TODAY!  When we get things done in advance, it allows us to SERVE YOU better at the meeting.

We URGE you to send in your registration form TODAY - even if you must send your payment later.

The early bird deadline is Sunday, July 1, and after that date, registration fees increase. [FYI -- Attendees registering after July 1 will not be guaranteed their requested t-shirt size.]

Dr. Bernard to Lead  Discussion on Physician Wellness at 3 Sessions
Dr. Rebekah Bernard, a family physician from Fort Myers, FL, will lead three sessions on physician wellness at Annual Meeting, including:
  1. Taking Back Control: Alternatives to Traditional Practice (Tuesday afternoon)
  2. How to Recognize Physician Burnout and Improve Wellness (Wednesday morning)
  3. How to Be a Rock Star Doctor (Wednesday morning)
Many times, physicians are so focused on their patients that they neglect themselves. Dr. Bernard will discuss with physicians how to identify the signs of burnout and how to provide not only yourself, but fellow physicians with needed resources. Dr. Bernard will also teach strategies to improve office efficiency and psychological techniques to improve patient interactions.

To learn more about Dr. Bernard and her talk, see her website, 'How to Be a Rock Star Doctor.'

Physician Marketplace Redesigned/Revamped
This year's Physician Marketplace already has over 75 exhibits. We have added a few events so make sure you take the time to visit. We have added:

- DJ in the Exhibit Hall -- Music by AJC on Facebook

- Increased the Coffee Break on Monday to 1 hour so physicians can meet exhibitors without rushing

- Moved our Silent Auction inside the Exhibit Hall

- Added a 'Zen Zone' where physicians can relax

- Our favorite caricature artist, Ricky Nobile, will be back drawing your portraits

- Loot and Scoot is an all-time favorite and will be held Wednesday at 9 am

Silent Auction to Raise Funds for MAFPF Programs
We've received several great Silent Auction donations from physicians around the state. The items above are just two of a long list of items waiting for someone to take them home after our Annual Meeting! The items above were donated by Dr. Brent Smith of Cleveland. We encourage you to make sure your town is represented if you have local artists that would be willing to donate.

The Silent Auction will be held Tuesday, July 24, from 10 am to 6 pm at the Baytowne Conference Center, and all proceeds fund the MAFP Foundation's scholarship and other programs for the year.

Great Things for Kids, Families to Do at Annual Meeting
We have added several new events for spouses and families to enjoy during the day on top of our golfing and fishing outings. Monday morning's Jolee Island Getaway will feature supervised playground fun and water slides for children on the nearby Jolee Island.

Teams or families can sign up for Monday night's Academy Amazing Race, which features fun challenges and scrambles to beat the other teams to the next station.

Two other family events are included in the registration fee -- Sunday night's Family Fun Night (carnival games, prizes, face painting and more) and Tuesday afternoon's Bay Day (water sports, beach games).  And don't forget we have our own photographer to take your family photo at the beach.
