A quick "News Burst" about PAI Happenings!
"News Burst" from PAI-Parkway

Kaleena and Winta
Fawn-Doe-Rosa Visit

Parkway participants are having a great time enjoying expanded community adventures. A visit to Fawn-Doe-Rosa Wildlife Educational Park had Kaleena in awe of all the different animals coming right up to her!
Winta enjoyed his time learning about baby goats.  It turns out they love to be held, and lucky for them, Winta was ready to do just that.  He enjoyed hanging out with this little guy the whole trip.

Minnehaha Falls
An Afternoon in the Park

Another group took a trip to the waterfalls in Minneapolis. They spent a wonderful afternoon enjoying the nice weather and the beautiful scenery.

Exploration and Skill Building
Back at Parkway...

... we have a few additions to our building.  We now have a lending library (top picture) that includes everything from programming resources such as social skills curriculum and job skill development tools, to a Temple Grandin biography and arts & crafts magazines.  All are geared to expand our Autism services.

Also new is our computer lab (bottom picture).  Participants can build typing skills, explore community activities, learn how to navigate the internet, create resumes, write stories, or even watch videos on how to plant flowers.  Here you can see Zach helping Staci to navigate through a typing course, Mike researching a new outing, and Chelsey working on her typing skills.
