Spotlight on Teen Girl Scouts!
Paige Taylor, Leavenworth, KS

GS Ambassador Paige Taylor from Troop 506 was featured in Leavenworth Times for POWERFUL GOLD AWARD project. This is what the Gold Award is all about - selecting something that is personal, changing something your community and beyond, ensuring sustainability and having the courage, confidence, and character to just GO FOR IT no matter the challenges you face! Paige exemplifies the Girl Scout Grit & Determination. We're excited to present you with your Gold Award Pin in April!
Troop 624 - Topeka, KS

Girl Scout Cadettes from Troop 624 planned and implemented an incredible Women Empowerment Career Fair last weekend. These INNOVATIVE Girl Scouts brought in AWESOME, INSPIRING women in a variety of career fields from a police officer to a construction manager to an attorney and pharmacy technician. Girl Scouts in attendance got to ask questions, try on some of the work wear and learn what these individuals do in their careers. What a FANTASTIC idea! Thank you to the Meinholdt family for sharing some of their behind-the-scenes photos. Way to go, Troop 624! Thank you for leading this activity and inspiring the next generation of LEADERS!
Girl Scouts + Homecoming Queens!

These two young women are INCREDIBLE Girl Scouts and recognized as FANTASTIC LEADERS in their school and community.

Emma (with her parents) is a GS Ambassador in Troop 1026 in SU 671. She is from DeSoto High school & Kylie is a GS Ambassador from Troop 1754 in SU 618. She is from Fort Osage High School.

Emma has been a Girl Scout since Kindergarten. She has been a teen day camp staff member for 6 years, and she is a favorite among campers for her program design & execution. Emma is committed to service and is very involved with supporting veterans. She is the captain of her dance team and the forensics team and is the reigning Princess of America Miss Kansas. Emma credits Girl Scouts for bringing her out of her shell and providing a place to meet many diverse individuals.

Kylie has been a Girl Scout since 3rd grade and always a hard worker when it comes to serving on the day camp team for her service unit. Like Emma, Kylie is a camper fave! Kylie is also very involved in her school as a cheerleader and on the tennis team.

Way to go, Emma & Kylie! We congratulate you both on this well deserved recognition and are so honored you proudly say you are Girl Scouts!
