Walkathon and Trunk or Treat Update
October 29, 2019

Dear Parents,

It seems like the weather just does not want to cooperate with us for Halloween this year. The forecast continues to show rain for both Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. Unfortunately, this means we will be canceling Trunk or Treat.  I know that this comes as a disappointment to all of us who were looking forward to this special event. We will still be having our orange and black dress down day tomorrow for students who donated diapers to our Student Council Diaper Drive. On Thursday we will celebrate Halloween with classroom parties coordinated by the room parents and classroom teachers and another dress down day (no costumes). Students who have gym on Thursdays should still wear sneakers.

Our Walkathon will be rescheduled for Monday, November 4 at 12:30.  Students will wear their Walkathon t-shirts. T-shirts will be sent home with our students on Friday.  Preschool students will receive their shirts on Monday. On Monday, students may wear dress down pants with their Walkathon shirts.  Please see the link on the SCSS website if you have any questions about dress code on dress down days. Parents who were scheduled to help for the Walkathon and can no longer do so because of the change of date, please contact Laura Hurley.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding with the changes we have had to make because of the weather.  We are coordinating with St. Joseph High School to donate the bags of candy that had been donated for Trunk or Treat.  We hope for better weather for Trunk or Treat 2020.

Have a good night,
Mrs. Ambrosio
