CAMP ARROWHEAD BASICS and NEED TO KNOWS
UPDATE ON SIGN IN AND OUT POLICY:

In an effort to utilize our new registration system while still upholding the standards of our association we have made the decision to update our sign-in and sign-out protocol.

Beginning, August 8th, we will begin having parents/ authorized pick-ups enter their  PIN number as well as show Photo ID either through uploading a photo to their Parent Portal or showing Photo ID.

To access your PIN number you can log onto your Parent Portal and click the tab My Account. For any questions or concerns please call our main office at (585)383-4590 or reply to this email. Thank in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

One-time authorization(s), can be granted by contacting the YMCA Camp Arrowhead in writing via email to [email protected] stating the campers name to be picked up and who is granted access. One-time authorizations will need to provide photo ID as they will not be provided a pin code.
*Parents with custody agreements, please call the office directly.

□ Camp Drop Off/Pick up
Camper sign in (7:00-9:00am) and sign out (3:45-6:00pm) will be in the same location, in front of the Climbing Tower.  Please park in the parking lot and walk your child to their assigned unit's table.  If you believe you will be later than 6:00pm, please contact 383-4590.  If your camper must leave before 4:00pm, please write a note, let the sign in staff know or call the camp office to let us know the time you will be picking up.

□ Lunch and Snacks
Please pack a non-reheatable lunch each day with you to camp, similar to a school lunch.  A cold pack may be beneficial to keep items cold.  Camp Arrowhead will provide a snack each day at 3:30pm.  Although there are drinking fountains throughout the camp, we do suggest that you bring a water bottle to refill throughout the day.  We like to suggest that you freeze the water bottle halfway the night before then add water before leaving for camp.  This helps keep the water nice and cool!

□ Sunscreen and Bug Spray
The majority of your camper's day will be spent outdoors. Please ensure your camper has sunscreen on prior to being dropped off. We will reapply sunscreen throughout the day, please send your camper with sunscreen.  We do periodical sunscreen checks (every 2-3 hours) throughout the day and also after swim time.  Sunscreen checks will give campers the opportunity to reapply sunscreen.  We also suggest applying bug spray.

□ Medication
If your camper requires medication during camp hours you will need to bring the medication in its original bottle along with the medication form to the camp office at drop off time.  We can only dispense what is written on the bottle.  If your doctor changes the amount or frequency of the medication a letter must be submitted from the doctor to the Camp Office from the doctor.

□ Immunizations and Medical Informaiton
Please log on to your Parent Dashboard and select the "forms" tab.  Each camper needs the Medical Forms (allergies, medical conditions etc.) updated as well as a copy of your camper's immunizations.  Immunizations uploaded will only be kept for one summer.
