Happy fall, PEPS friends!
I dropped my oldest at her first day of first grade this week. She was timid, but tear-free - an improvement over last year. After I said goodbye, I paused and lingered a bit outside and spied on her through the window. I couldn't help but look around her classroom at all of the new friends she will make, and around at the other lingering parents around me. This will be our community this year, and likely beyond. I left feeling peace and gratitude about that, and was reminded for the gazillionth time how important community is to our wellbeing.
I hope you will find some time to indulge in this month's newsletter. It is full of a variety of supportive perspectives on parenthood and community. I was particularly grateful for learning about
Anjelica Malone's approach to parenting with rhythms, rather than routines.
I'm wishing you all a peaceful rhythms and graceful transitions into fall.
