In the News: Jill Eisenstein to Retire from Rochester RHIO, National CEO Search Underway
Jill Eisenstein, chief executive officer and president of Rochester RHIO, has announced her plans to retire from the organization at the end of August. A national search has begun for her successor to allow a seamless leadership transition.

Eisenstein has been instrumental to the RHIO’s success for the past 15 years, including serving as CEO since 2015. Under her direction, the organization grew its reputation as one of the most respected, trusted health information exchanges in the United States.

New Data Sources: Medical Diagnostic Laboratories
Rochester RHIO is excited to onboard Medical Diagnostic Laboratories as a new data source now available to participants. Medical Diagnostic Laboratories is a reference laboratory. Rochester RHIO is working on connecting additional new laboratories under NYS Executive Order 202.82. These labs can be headquartered outside of New York, but do business in the state.

This new laboratory connectivity will expand the community patient record in more meaningful ways. This additional data will also help fight the COVID-19 pandemic. A more complete, community patient health record improves patient health care quality and supports clinicians in care planning and coordination.

In addition, data from dozens of new labs from around the state are being added on a weekly basis. This statewide data will also be made available for RHIO participants via the SHIN-NY.
