B'nai Israel Synagogue nominee for the Jeff Fox Award for the synagogue softball league. Throughout the season, Evan exhibited sportsmanship, a bit of talent but more importantly Evan is an all around great guy. Congratulations and thank you to Evan, for setting a fine example for all of us.

Michigan Jewish Food Festival
BI and TKA at the Michigan Jewish Food Festival
Sunday, August 26th 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Eastern Market, Detroit
B'nai Israel Synagogue and Temple Kol Ami will once again share a table at this event.  We will be weaving our synagogues together as we weave rugs on hula hoops!   We need your unwanted (clean) t-shirts of all colors  to use for this activity. Please drop them off at the collection box outside the TKA office by July 27th.

Ride to Detroit's Eastern Market and Back
Inspired by gather Krakow JCC Annual Bike Ride for the living.  Register for the Detroit Ride on the day of the Food Festival.  Ride the 55k event (34 miles) from Huntington Woods to The Eastern Market.  Registrations is at 9 a.m. at the  Huntington Woods Recreation Center.   This is an unsupported ride.  Riders must have their own bike and helmet.  Proceeds from the ride will help support the Krakow, Poland JCC.  Questions?  Contact Dona Stillman at  [email protected] or 248-833-2527.
