Classroom Coordinators needed!

One of the things that makes HPS so great is our dedicated volunteers! Our HPS Room Coordinators provide a channel of communication between parents and teachers. These parents are a part of the classroom environment in the following areas: Organize class parties, act as the room basket lead for Spring Celebration, aid in teacher celebration, and assist in any teacher special requests. You are the front line for parents and we thank you in advance for stepping up to do this!

Please click on the Sign Up Genius link below to volunteer. Look for the table at the ice cream social for more information.

Teacher Classroom Request

Kathryn Fischer, a teacher at HPS, is looking for a high top table and chairs for her classroom. If you have one you would like to donate, please contact her directly at FischKa@cpsboe.k12.oh.us

Play Yard Construction Update
The HPS Community Play Yard is now open to the public!

This is a soft opening so we are asking users to please be mindful of the following:

  • Keep off the newly sodded areas, mulched planting beds, and new trees. We are trying to give the grass and plantings as much time as possible to get established before full use. Be mindful that the sprinklers and drip lines in these areas will be going off several times a day.
  • The sport court will be painted in a month’s time, at which point it will need time to cure and the basketball/soccer goals will be installed. In the meantime, enjoy the wide open smooth space!
  • Keep dogs off the mulched planting areas, sod and artificial turf safety surface.

Finally, please treat and respect the play yard as if it was your own. We appreciate your help as we work towards getting the community play yard fully functioning and to maintain its appearance. If you see something broken or out of place, please let us know.
Sports Spotlight
The all new athletics website is now live! The website will be your ONE location for all things HPS Athletics. This includes information on the available programs, a general schedule of events, our philosophy, registration links, Booster Club information, pictures and more. We will update the site regularly, so come back and visit often.

Booster Club Membership is now open and can be completed via the website. Membership is only $30 and can be renewed on an annual basis. By becoming a member, you will directly support the HPS Athletic program, ensure our children have the appropriate equipment and resources, and will help fund future programs as we look to expand.

Head to the new website NOW and register to become a Booster Club Member. Then, find us at the Ice Cream Social to collect your HPS Foam Finger! Everyone who signs up before August 14th will also be entered into a raffle to win 4 tickets to the FCC game on August 18th.

Running Club

Running Club registration is officially open! Please visit link below to register your child. This is a new program for HPS so we are unsure how many will plan to participate, so please be patient as we work through the organizational details. The intent is to open the club to K-6th grade and offer an after school and an evening option. Please only register for one of the programs. Depending on final numbers, we may then subdivide groups by age. Additional information can be found using link below. If you have questions please contact Mike Brugh at hps.athletics@mail.com.
