Pay attention to the beauty surrounding you. -Anne Lamott
What We Care About

I encourage everyone to pay attention to the issues that matter to you, from jobs and the economy, to education and our schools, to criminal justice reform. Whatever it is that you care about, make sure you use your voice.
                                      -Two Chainz

I appreciate the engagement of so many of the people in this community to the local issues and concerns surrounding us. Whether it's attending the local symphony, or city council meetings, engaging in letter-writing to the editor or volunteering for some agency or school, people here put their values into action. People also find ways to learn more about what's going on around them and learn more about things and people that matter.

Paying attention is an attitude that brings beauty to life, helps me engage more fully in each thing I do. I want to become a more committed person from my morning meditation to the way I listen to your words.

To what am I paying attention?

BELOVED CONVERSATIONS: Meditations on Race and Ethnicity
We have a special opportunity to take part in this really great program here at UUFD. I participated in the pilot version of this curriculum and found it a positive way to engage in the work of community-building. Please look at the info here and consider signing up. I believe you'll find it worthwhile.

Come Sunday

This is our last Sunday of this Summer Series, featuring our nonagenarians. These are the people who have garnered the most wisdom.

I'll be joining our pulpit guests leading worship this Sunday. I really hope to see YOU.

Always in the love,              Rev. Katie
