Center for Innovation in Population Health Approved by Board of Trustees
Based in the College of Public Health, the Center for Innovation in Population Health (CIPH) will bring together trans-disciplinary experts with the goal of improving population health, well-being, and equity. To achieve a “culture of health,” the Center will emphasize four strategic goals: making health a shared value, fostering cross-sector collaboration to improve well-being, creating healthier and more equitable communities, and strengthening integration of health services and systems.

New Staff Council Members
Brittany Lawrence, Kara Richardson, Jennifer Stevens, and Justin Sumner were elected by CPH Staff to fulfill 2018-20 Staff Council terms. Continuing Staff Council members for 2018-19 are: Susan Westneat, Britt Allen-Wynn, Becki Flanagan, and Elliot Bloomer. Dr. Erin Abner is a co-author of the publication "Effect of Thiamine Administration on Lactate Clearance and Mortality in Patients With Septic Shock," appearing in the journal Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Jordan Woolum, UK College of Pharmacy resident, is lead author.
