Houston, TX - The Houston Public Works Department will be hosting a community meeting on Thursday, August 23, at 6:30 p.m., at the Kingwood Community Center, 4102 Rustic Woods Drive, Kingwood, Texas, 77345. The purpose of the meeting is to educate residents on possible mitigation grant assistance for their homes. Some homes in the area may qualify for FEMA funding for home elevation, and these options will be discussed.
This program is ideal for residents that have severe repetitive flooding.
The meeting will begin with a short presentation, providing an overview of the program and process. Following the presentation, guidance will be provided to residents on how to fill out the applications.
