Newsletter for February 8th, 2021
Greetings!
We are only one week away from the start of our conditioning program! Welcome to all our new families, and welcome back to all our returning families! It has been a hard year for sure but we are so excited to be able to get the kids out again. With all the new rules and restrictions we are just happy to have a program this year! We are almost at capacity now so if you have not signed up yet, please do it NOW!

As you all know, this is a 100% all volunteer program and with the hard year we have just all lived through we will need your help more than ever. We usually have a open parent meeting to answer all your questions and get you signed up for helping but with the group restrictions we can not do that this year. We are in need of a few more conditioning coaches and parent helpers. Each group will need parents to check in the kids and make sure they get to the right area to start practice on time. It is very easy and we will train you. Since we will not be conducting meets this year we are asking parents to volunteer 1 practice a week or more. We want the kids to have a great experience so please volunteer when you can! Here are a few of the jobs we need to fill.
1) Assistant Coaches - help keep the kids organized and follow the Head coaches lead, this is our biggest need right now and it is so much fun and so rewarding! with the loss of last years season we have lost a lot of coaches!!
2)Attendance helpers - help check in athletes in their pods
3) Equipment managers- help put out or clean up coaches equipment
4) Jelly bean and Jolly Rancher table managers - We like to give out a small treat at the end of each practice, We will need parents to take the jelly beans home to pre package or manage the table at the end of practice, to help make sure the kids keep social distance and touch only one item. We ask each family to donate 2 bags of either jelly beans or Jolly Ranchers!
Please reply to this email or call Coach Elaine with how you can help 661-373-6897!!
All Parent volunteers will need to sign the City Waiver !

We have now confirmed our practice days and fields with the City through March! Please click on the calendar on the top of the Storm website to see days and field locations. We will start our conditioning program on Tuesday Feb 16th We will be on fields 7 and 8 at the far end of the park near the bathrooms.
This year due to having to restrict how many kids we have on the field at one time we have to split our age group up into 3 sessions This will make our groups much smaller. Here is the age group times for our weekday training:
