Back to School Night
This year's Back to School Night is scheduled for Wednesday, September 5th. Parents and guardians are all invited to attend and get a glimpse of what their student's classroom experience will be like this year. Please gather by the central flagpole in the quad area starting at 6:15pm to kick off the evening with an introduction by Principal Bull and others.
Classroom visits will begin at 6:45pm and end at 8:31pm.
Period 1 6:45 p.m. to 6:55 p.m.
Period 2 7:01 p.m. to 7:11 p.m.
Period 3 7:17 p.m. to 7:27 p.m.
Period 4 7:33 p.m. to 7:43 p.m.
Period 5 7:49 p.m. to 7:59 p.m.
Period 6 8:05 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.

PSAT/NMSQT Registration Now Open
Registration for the
PSAT/NMSQT
is open
August 6 thru September 7
. Recommended for sophomores and juniors planning to apply to 4-year college, who have completed geometry.
The test will be held Wednesday, October 10th, 2018 during the school day. We will have a late start that day, so test takers will not miss class.

Schedule Change Requests
Elective schedule change requests can be turned in at the Counseling
starting Monday, August 20th until Friday, August 24th.
Please note that all schedule change requests are based on space availability.

Parking Passes
Please purchase your parking pass in the main office if you have not already done so, if your student plans on driving to school. Forms are available on FHS website under Students,
Parking/Transportation
. Please note that
starting Monday, 8/27, all students without a pass will be redirected to park off school grounds until they have a pass.

- P.E. clothes are being distributed this week.
- Foothill planners are scheduled to arrive next week and will be distributed to students in classes.

PPIE Night of the Stars
This year's PPIE gala will take place on
October 12, 2018 at Castlewood Country Club in Pleasanton from 6:30 – 10:00
pm.
The "Night of the Stars" theme will continue, but with an international twist! Attendees will celebrate the beautiful Harvest Moon, which has inspired festivals throughout the world. The gala will feature:
- Fun reception with free wine pours by our school principals and other local leaders
- Amazing selection of raffle, silent and live auction items (including tickets to The Voice, a lovely Hawaii house and other great items) – as well as a special cake auction for your table
- A scrumptious sit-down dinner
- Inspiring presentations to honor our students and teachers
Tickets are $85 per person and can be purchased via
EventBrite. Tables for 10 are also available at a discounted rate of $700.

Buy Your 2019 Yearbook Online
Yearbooks are $90 if ordered before
September 1;
after that, prices increase to $100. Please order by December 15, 2018 to guarantee your on-time yearbook delivery and free engraved name plate.

Senior Portraits
You may make appointments for senior portraits by contacting Studio One Photography at 925-361-0430. Click

. All appointments must be made by phone. There is currently no online scheduling.
All senior photos for the yearbook must be taken by Studio One Photography. Senior pictures are due by
November 15
, in order to make it into the yearbook on time. Parents who want to use senior photos in yearbook ads should make early appointments. Photos taken close to the deadline may not be available for ads.

Attention senior families! Congratulate your student and express your pride and love with an ad in the 2019 yearbook. Ads are $85 if ordered before September 1st and $110 from September 1 to October 31, 2018. Senior ads are available on a space-available basis, so be sure to place yours as soon as possible! Sports Packets for Athletes
To tryout for a sport at Foothill High School, all athletes need to register online through our Home Campus program. We are asking that you go to the Foothill website (
foothillfalcons.org
) click on Athletes and Activities, then
Sports Packet
. Please read the instructions and you will be guided to the Home Campus Link where you will register for the sport you would like to participate in. After registering you will need to turn in a signed copy of the Confirmation Message and the Emergency form. If you were unable to upload a current physical for your athlete, please include that with the Confirmation Message and Emergency form. You will be able to tell online when your athlete has been cleared. We will also be sending you messages through this program, such as if your physical has expired or is close to expiring.
Please turn in your packets for the season you will be playing in after the Parent Sports Meeting:
- Winter sports meeting will be 10/17/18
- Spring sports meeting will be 1/9/19
- (19-20) Fall Sports meeting will be 4/26/19
