ACIAnchor Community Initiative Coordinator Hired by United Way to Coordinate Youth Homelessness Services.

By securing grant dollars we are able to bring on a new staff member to coordinate community services and work with homeless youth to ensure services are meeting the needs of this vulnerable population.

Please help us in welcoming Cecily Ferguson to our team!
Cecily Ferguson, Anchor Community Initiative Coordinator at Spokane County United Way

Cecily (she/her/hers) has a master's degree in Social Work and a bachelor's degree from University of Washington, and  has advocated alongside vulnerable youth, young adults, and communities throughout her career.

Prior to joining Spokane County United Way as Anchor Community Initiative Coordinator, Cecily worked with the St. Louis Community Foundation, the Mockingbird Society, Washington University in St. Louis, the YMCA, and Ampersand Families. Cecily is dedicated to social and racial justice and equity, and is passionate about advocacy, collaboration and youth-driven work.

Cecily is originally from Portland, OR, and lived in Seattle, WA for ten years before moving to Minneapolis, MN, St. Louis, MO, and Spokane, WA. When not working, she likes to spend time exploring the outdoors with her partner and dog in their 1987 VW Vanagon, and visiting family and friends.

Cecily is excited to join Spokane County United Way and the Anchor Community Initiative, alongside community partners, to prevent and end youth and young adult homelessness in our community.
