Empowering families to advocate for themselves so that children with special educational needs can reach their full potential in education and life - through support, training, and education.
Transitioning Back to School

Summer is over and it's time to go back to school! For some parents, it is a welcome relief to have a schedule and routine.  For others, the transition can be difficult,  especially for parents of a child with a disability.   But, have no fear, parents have been navigating these back to school days for years, and you can too!
  • Start the year off right by establishing a healthy communication pattern with your child's teachers and therapists.  To learn more about assertive communication, you can view and download MPACT's fact sheet here:  Assertive Communication Fact Sheet

Please visit www.missouriparentsact.org or call 1-800-743-7634 for support, resources, or information.

We are here for Parents!

MPACT  is Missouri's only Parent and Training Information Center (PTI).  Every state has at least one PTI mandated by IDEA. You can learn more about Centers for Parent and Information and Training  (CIPR) by visiting the website .   We are funded by federal and state grants so that parents can gain a better understanding of the Special Education Process.  And remember,  MPACT  is here to help you!  Learn more about MPACT's services by viewing our online video, "What is MPACT ? ".
Free Special Education Trainings
Does your child have a disability; struggle with learning, behavior, or social issues at school; or currently receive special education services? If so, Missouri Parents Act (MPACT) may be able to help. MPACT is a federally-funded, statewide parent training and information center. MPACT offers families free training, resources, and support throughout the special education process.

All training descriptions are located on our website. Please contact us if you would like to schedule a training for your area or organization or  RSVP for any of MPACT's scheduled trainings  by clicking on the individual links below.

For more information about MPACT or to request information and resources about the special education process, please visit www.missouriparentsact.org or call 1-800-743-7634.
