WHIDBEY ISLAND ARTS CENTER FILMS POPULAR ONLINE PROGRAM WITH LIVE STUDIO AUDIENCE
Langley, WA (Mar. 5, 2021) - Whidbey Island Center for the Arts (WICA) presents "98260: Live!" on March 20 in Langley, WA.
"We began producing 98260, a streaming program designed to keep us connected through conversations, news, and entertainment, in March 2020," says WICA Artistic Director Deana Duncan. "This very special, anniversary episode will be filmed in front of a live studio audience!"
Travel writer Sue Frause hosts the evening featuring special guests: Jenn Jurriaans sharing how she adapted her restaurant businesses in 2020, Dan Gulden offering insights about the region's real estate market, and telecom executive George Henny discussing how COVID-19 has changed the way we communicate.
The event also includes live music, improv artist Billy Tierney, audience participation, an update about the State of the Arts, and a Best Mask Competition.
"During the past twelve months," says Executive Director Verna Everitt,"we have remained committed to producing, presenting, and supporting artistic endeavors and cultural events. Producing 98260 and curating online experiences for our patrons are two of the many ways our staff has been working to keep us connected and engaged in the arts. We're now able to welcome artists and audiences back to our stage and the most important message I want to share with our community is 'we're ready when you are'."
