St. Jerome's Episcopal Church
Bible Study
St. Jerome's stands as people of God, with Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We are here to represent Christ to all people, act as good stewards to all of God's creation and support each other by sharing our strengths as we continue God's work in the world.

  Dear Folks:

It is our hope, that as we are invited into the joy that these two amazing men share in their relationship, we also will live more into joy as these men have and as Jesus did. "These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full." John 15:11

"I say to people that I'm not an optimist, because that, in a sense, is something that depends on feelings more than the actual reality. We feel optimistic, or we feel pessimistic. Now, hope is different in that it is based not on the ephemerality of feelings but on the firm ground of conviction. I believe with a steadfast faith that there can never be a situation that is utterly, totally hopeless. Hope is deeper and very, very close to unshakable. (Archbishop Tutu)

"We've always got to be recognizing that despite the aberrations, the fundamental thing about humanity, about humankind, about people, is that they are good, they were made good, and they really want to be good. "Yes, there are many, many things that can depress us. But there also are very many things that are fantastic about our world.

Do you agree or disagree with the statements above? Ask yourself,"Why or why not?"
