WHERE YOUR MONEY GOES

The Understanding the Issues Committee focuses on both education and action. The committee tackles current issues affecting our community by offering our members an educational event led by a panel of experts. These events provide information, a first step in recognizing a crisis, and can serve as the springboard for involvement in actions to help improve the situations. For example, the session on the Infant Mortality Crisis in Ohio led to NCJW/CLE’s Threads of Love and Comfort Project . NCJW/CLE’s Threads of Love and Comfort Project provides bags filled with brand new clothing including underwear, socks, shirts, pants, flip-flops and toiletries for victims of sexual assault at local Cleveland hospitals.

Remember to Support NCJW with Facebook and Amazon Smile!

·   Facebook - NCJW/CLE is now a registered nonprofit on Facebook, meaning you can raise money directly for our organization online. Have a birthday or celebration – and you want to encourage others to honor you through a contribution? It’s easy. When you draft a new post on your Facebook page, hit the “Support NonProfit” button, type in National Council of Jewish Women Cleveland, and voila – people can donate!

·    Amazon Smile - AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon with the same products, prices, and shopping features as Amazon.com. When you shop through AmazonSmile, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price of eligible products to the charitable organization of your choice. Choose National Council of Jewish Women Cleveland when you make your purchases.
