Gina M. Sansivero, Dir. of Business Development, Education, FSR Inc., the last of Gina’s trilogy (3) of articles is Presentation Technologies 101. The article focuses on what “the preferred presentation technology [is] for most colleges and universities.” Selecting presentation technology raises some questions and logistical concerns, but do not outweigh the benefits to presentation technology. From CFM’s July 28th workshop on starting your own business, Entrepreneurial ship101, the audience received expert advice, but still had questions, so here are some additional follow up resources. Rembrand Koning and colleagues say “the best-performing startups are those where the founder is hands-on with people management.” Most of the business experts would advise the new startup to have a business plan. If your initial interest has moved beyond and you are becoming more serious about your considerations, you would be interested in developing a business plan. Finally, but not the last of CFM’s tips for you is financing. But like most development is done by stages, there will be stages of venture capital financing you need to know about and understand.
