The International Professionals Program (IPP)
Produces a High Return on Investment 
ESI recently completed work for the Welcoming Center for New Pennsylvanians' International Professionals Program (IPP). Our study found that every $100,000 invested in IPP generates over $4 million in net new wages to participants and almost $300,000 in new City and Commonwealth tax revenues.

ESI, in conjunction with the Philadelphia Real Estate Council and the Philadelphia Business Journal, invite you to take the PREC's Mid-Atlantic Real Estate Sentiment Survey for Q3. This quarterly survey asks respondents to consider the current and future market trends.

ESI had a great company picnic on the Schuylkill. A huge thank you to Schuylkill Banks & Joseph Syrnick!  In 2017, ESI completed an economic impact study for the Schuylkill River Development Corporation, finding that its complete expansion could generate $695 million for the City of Philadelphia.

Lee Huang will be leading a discussion of The Future of Workspace: How and Where Innovation Will Happen, and Implications for Universities, Municipalities, and Real Estate Developers at the UEDA's Disruptive Economic Development Summit in Milwaukee, WI on October 22. 
Dr. Leroy D. Nunery II 's study, The Journey of African American Insurance Professionals: Past and Present, was highlighted in Business Insurance magazine. Underwritten by Marsh Cos., it is being used as the programmatic basis for national discussions on diversity and inclusion in the industry.
Richard Bickel will be participating in a Transit Cooperative Research Program (TCRP) meeting on August 15th to recommend various project proposals for FY 2019 funding. 

Angela Dowd-Burton will be speaking at the 2018 NIGP Area 2 Conference Creating Procurement Connections this October. 
Joel Naroff was quoted in several articles, including the Washington Post, regarding the current conditions of the national housing market. 
Alan Greenberger is the 2018 Chairman for the 31st Annual Wyck-Strickland Award, to be presented November 8.
News from the Lab

Visa recently led a multi-pronged research program to assess digital transformation barriers and opportunities for small and medium businesses (SMBs). ESI ThoughtLab conducted a cost analysis survey, contributing to the research program by providing SMBs with market insights and tangible strategies to meet the changing consumer demands for a "Digital First" commerce experience.
