Access In Motion makes mobility happen
|
RIVERVIEW HEIGHTS - The solution to your accessibility and mobility needs can be found right here in Leeds Grenville.
Access in Motion, located in the Augusta Business Centre since 2014, provides full automotive modification work as well as general auto repair and maintenance.
"We offer everything from left-foot accelerators and full-size van conversions to oil and tire changes," says co-owner Mark Dulmage. Mark, his brother Dave Dulmage and friend Marcus Crane have 25 years of accessibility industry experience.
"We understand how important being mobile is and we enjoy helping people keep their independence," says Mark.
"Even people who have been told they won't be able to drive, we can often help them," says Marcus. "We are able to modify a vehicle for the short term for minor injuries or longer for amputees and quadriplegics."
Access in Motion has a large service area, covering west to Toronto, north to Pembroke and into Quebec. The company is ideally located near the U.S. border on County Road 2. They do in-house and on-location work, pick-ups and deliveries of vehicles.
Installations include crane-style lifts for walkers and wheelchairs, seating aids and hand controls for autos and recreational vehicles as well as residential mobility aids.
"We've doubled our overall business in four years," says Dave. The focus is on getting people the service they need in a timely fashion.
Access in Motion is a Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) service and installation provider in eastern Ontario.
