This newsletter features two area Rotary clubs.
Johnstown - Milliken Rotary Club
Meets Thursdays at 7:00 am at
Johnson's Corner, 2842 SE Frontage Rd., Johnstown.
The club sponsors the following community service projects:
- Student of the Month & Year
- RYLA & Young RYLA leadership training program/camp
Fundraising projects include an annual golf tournament and Christmas wreath sales.
The club will be 83 years old this year!
Rotary Satellite Club of Berthoud
|
Meets the second and fourth Wednesdays at
the Hale and Bradford tasting room,
335 Mountain Ave., Berthoud.
The newly formed Rotary Satellite Club of Berthoud is a satellite of the Loveland Rotary Club and are also members of the Loveland Rotary Club. The initial focus of the satellite club will be on local projects. Being a new Rotary club, the club members have heard from several community organizations and will soon determine which local projects it will be involved with. Club members did volunteer at least 4 hours each to ring the bell for the Salvation Army at Hays Market in Berthoud. The club also donated food and Christmas gifts to a needy family in Berthoud.
Other Rotary clubs in northern Colorado include three Rotary clubs in Loveland, four Rotary clubs in Greeley, four Rotary clubs in Fort Collins, and Windsor. There are also Satellite clubs in Fort Collins and Greeley as well as Loveland.
There are over 1.2 million Rotarians in over 35,000 clubs in over 200 countries world-wide. Being a Rotarian is simple. Be an adult who demonstrates good character, integrity, and leadership; have a good reputation within your business or profession and community; and be willing to serve in the community or around the world.

Open to first time guests and members of Northern Colorado Community. This event is facilitated by Northern Colorado Community and are normally held on the first Wednesday each month. Note: This is the second Wednesday of the month due to the first Wednesday of the month is January 1st.
Business After Hours
January 14, 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
The Articulate, 324 Jefferson St., Fort Collins. These events are on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from
5:30-7:30 pm. Host locations will vary each month. Members only or first time guests may attend for free.
Lunch & Learn
January 21, 11:30 am to 1:00 pm
Pizza Ranch, 3451 Mountain Lion Drive, Loveland.
The speaker is Renee Walkup and she will do a Q&A on how to get new business. Speakers vary each month.
These are on the 3rd Tuesday every month at Pizza Ranch. Free and open to the public.
Northern Colorado Community is a membership based networking group.
Effective January 1, 2020 the membership is $279 per year.

We are excited to begin our fall activities at the Glenn A Jones, MD Memorial Library!
Our Storytime line-up is:
Tuesday 9:30 am Traditional Storytime
Tuesday 10:30 am Messy Art
Wednesday 9:30 am Parachute Storytime (with extra movement for kids who like to move around)
Thursday 9:30 am Stortytime Playdate- a story followed by playtime for kids, and time for moms to visit
Friday 9:30 am Little Duckling Flannel Storytime-for babies up to 24 months and their caregivers
Book Clubs are adding new member! We have several different groups that meet at various days and times. Please contact the library for more information!
ESL classes will be meeting on Tuesdays evenings at 6:00 pm beginning on September 3. The classes are free and speakers of all languages and levels are welcome!
