Volunteer Spotlight
Brianna Arce-Micin
We would like to recognize and appreciate our recent summer volunteer Brianna Arce-Micin. She is a 17 year old senior from Coral Reef Senior High School. She and her family are from Chinadega, Nicaragua.

Brianna amassed over 50 hours of volunteering which resulted into a paid summer internship.

She is a part of the legal academy at school and also serves a police explorer where she plans on continuing until graduation.

She hopes to attend Florida Golf Coast University to pursue a career in Forensic Science.
National Women's Equality Day
M. Athalie Range
In honor of National Women's Equality Day, we highlight M. Athalie Range who was an American Politician who paved the way for people of color.

She was the first African American woman to serve on the City of Miami commissions and the first to head the Department of Community Affairs in Florida. She was also the founding chair of Virginia Key Beach Park Trust.

Today, we thank Mrs. Range for paving the way and allowing women to gradually take charge in their political positions.
