July 2018 Newsletter
What an amazing experience we had at the MCWC Volunteer Training in July! There were over 30 volunteers in attendance! A special "thank you" to our staff members who helped make the training successful! This group is excited, motivated, and geared up to serve.

Makeover Maniacs!
The MCWC Staff is very appreciative for two of our Volunteers- Teesa and Christina! They went above and beyond their volunteer duties and did an amazing makeover for our Hotline room. Taking calls for those in distress isn't an easy task, and it takes special people to handle those calls. These volunteers thought it would be nice to brighten up the space a bit for our Hotline staff. They certainly exceeded our expectations! The room looks amazing! We are SO thankful for their thoughtfulness and selfless giving of their time and talents! Teesa and Christina, thank you so much for ALL you do! 
Cornerstone In The Community!
We are so grateful to the Cornerstone Women's Ministry for giving their hearts and their time to provide the shelter with a wonderful meal and serve our residents! Our residents in the shelter were certainly in for a special treat. They truly enjoyed it! A great big THANKS for your donation!
Celebrating Independence!
A Big "Thank You" to Harriet Kerr, from the Lake Conroe Area Republican Women, who presented our agency with a wonderful 4th of July meal for our Reaching Pines clients.
Finding Comfort In Crisis!
The wonderful volunteers from The Assistance League of Montgomery County deserve a huge "Thank You" for providing MCWC with assault survivors kits. The contents of these kits provide comfort and peace to survivors going through an extraordinarily difficult time in their lives.

Community of Caring!
A big "Thank You" to a very sweet volunteer, Maria Iturbe from  Keep US Fed Montgomery County . She brought some wonderful 4th of July treats for our shelter clients. We appreciate all you do for us during this holiday week and every week throughout the year.
