Dear Northeastern Minnesota Synod congregations,

The Voyageurs Lutheran Ministry board has made the decision that,

“For the safety of our campers, volunteers, staff, and their families and to position the organization to be a resource for our church and communities during these uncertain times, Camp Hiawatha and Camp Vermilion and their associated programs, will be temporarily closed until further notice.”

For the full letter, click here!

More information will be shared as we navigate the next few weeks.
Please keep the Leaders of the VLM board and staff, and all camps in your prayers at this time.

ELCA Leadership Coaching!
Every Wednesday at 1:00 pm Central Time, the ELCA Coaching Network gathers together on Zoom to offer support and accompaniment to any rostered minister.

The ELCA has a network of trained coaches who accompany leaders in a variety of ministry areas including stewardship. During this unprecedented time, coaching is offered at no cost. For more information, contact jill.beverlin@elca.org . ELCA World Hunger's Daily Bread Matching Grants   support congregations and their partners as they work toward a just world where all are fed. ELCA congregations with feeding ministries are eligible to participate.

As part of the ELCA’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, these grants are available to eligible ministries on a first-come, first-served basis.

Between April 3 and April 19, approved congregations will be able to invite their members, networks and friends to donate. To help drive their campaigns, the funds they raise will be matched by ELCA World Hunger with a grant of $500.

In response to high demand, the total number of grants awarded has been expanded to 200. The current round of grants has reached capacity, but we hope to offer more Daily Bread Matching Grants in the future. Follow ELCA World Hunger on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updates.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the ELCA churchwide organization is here to support our members, congregations, synods and partners. Call 800-638-3522 and press #4 or email HereToServe@ELCA.org for prayer, support and to ask your questions.
