PURPLE LINE CONSTRUCTION UPDATES
Brookville Road/Lyttonsville Place - As a result of efforts by GSSCC, Montgomery County officials have removed the one-way restrictions on Stewart Avenue and imposed a 15 mph speed limit through the area. This change should make it easier for customers to reach Brookville Road area businesses, that were suffering due to the closure and reconstruction of the Lyttonsville Place Bridge. Concerned about pedestrian and other safety in the neighborhood, GSSCC and area businesses asked for the 15 mph speed limit to assure that those driving through the area are respectful of the residents who live there.
