JR's Weekly Column
Your Escondido Chamber of Commerce like you is trying to navigate its way during these most unusual times. The pandemic has changed the way business is conducted for many of us and by all accounts some of these changes will be permanent. Not all of them, but some of them. People will always have the desire to connect with others whether that is in making a purchase, seeking advice, hiring staff or generally conducting business. Much of this connection is now done with social media and it is not a stretch to say that the world has gone digital. YouTube, FB, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter just to name a few now serve as dominant resources for many business transactions and often blur the lines between social and commercial. We bank online, fact check and research online. But, we can’t replace or duplicate the human interaction we all still crave. It’s part of who we are. We are social beings and when the time comes and we are all back to our pre-Covid-19 world we believe there will be pent up demand to get outside and connect. A movement to return to our pre-pandemic ways of doing business with a deeper respect for each other and appreciation of doing business together.

Along these lines we’re ready to up our game here at the Chamber. What’s that mean? We’ve been hard at work behind the scenes here at the Chamber strategizing how we take this Chamber with its more than 110+ year heritage of impact in not just Escondido but building on our full footprint of influence in inland North County San Diego.

One of the signature vehicles the Chamber has to connect the consumer with business is our bi-annual Escondido Magazine. This old-school print tool is building on its remodel started with the partnership forged with The City of Escondido and the Chamber. We’ve taken steps to improve the digital access to the Escondido Magazine along with the printed version which is distributed throughout Escondido and now beyond. The magazine has a 6-month shelf life, is heavily promoted on all of social outlets and exponentially shared amongst all of our membership. You’re reaching a targeted captive audience with your strategically placed ad and placing your business in the same company of many of Escondido’s finest businesses.

We feel Escondido businesses could maximize the opportunity of being a part of this legendary publication and joining others in supporting your Chamber of Commerce.

If you need assistance with your Ad or have any additional questions please let us know.

Sincerely,

James Rowten (JR)
