H ello neighbors,

Hope you are staying safe during COVID 19 Pandemic. I continue to work, attend Commission meetings and other important meetings from home, provide hot lunches to our seniors that are sheltered in and support families through Miramar weekly Feeding South Florida Drive-Thru food distribution.

This weekend we will be celebrating Mother’s Day and honoring Mothers. Due to COVID 19 this celebration will be different for most of us. Regardless of how and where you spend your Mother’s Day, please know that I wish all the Mothers a warm and loving Mother’s Day and a great big thank you for all that you do for your love ones.

Cessation of Rock Blasting
Resolution No. 20-109
At the April 15, 2020, Miramar Commission Meeting, I sponsored a resolution urging Governor DeSantis to order the cessation of rock mine Blasting during this State of Emergency. This resolution was unanimously approved by the Miramar Commission. The intent of this resolution is to provide Miramar residents with relief from the blasting in Miami Dade County during this time when residents are at home and experiencing the effects of blasting more often than when they are at work. Haitian Heritage Month
I would like to recognize May as National Haitian Heritage Month and May 18 as Haitian Flag day.
This month-long celebration allows Haitian Americans an opportunity to share their history, culture, traditions, music, crafts and cuisines. Thank you for sharing your rich history and culture with us and being a staple in the South Florida community.
