No pre-emptive nuclear attack on DPRK!
|
The Greater Bennington Peace & Justice Center has lead a partnership of peace groups to craft a letter to our Congressional delegates urging them to
do everything in their power to prevent any preemptive strike against North Korea. In the letter they state, "
In light of the July 4th launch of what most analysts agree was an intercontinental ballistic missile by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, we view the language used by Secretary of Defense Mattis as an implied threat to carry out a preemptive attack against the DPRK."
You are urged to contact Leahy, Sanders, and Welch to voice your opinion.

Angela Davis: Persistent Resistance
|
Through a series of interviews, university speeches, and lifelong activist work, Angela Davis' book gives valuable insight into the power, influence, and interconnecti
vity of collective freedom movements from all around the world.... Angela is a woman who dedicated her
life and voice for justice, equality, and freedom for all, while supporting intersectional thinking and actions to
widen th
e perspective
of the world.
She
realistically
empowers women and girls to believe in their great potential to change the world despite being socialized into ideologies and practices of patriarchy, capitalism, and white supremacy. It is easy to see the contagious spark that radiates and leads young women of color to affirm in themselves, "If Angela Davis can do it, why can't I?"
