Enrollment Contracts 2021-22

We look forward to continued success together in 2021-22! Your child’s Enrollment Agreement for the 2021-22 school year and all re-enrollment forms will be available in the parent portal on Wednesday, January 27th. We will send a link out Wednesday morning so you can sign the agreement electronically.
Your Enrollment Agreement and Enrollment Fee are due no later than 4 pm on Friday, February 5, 2021, in order to hold your child’s space for the 2021-22 academic year. The deadline for re-enrollment is firm. There are already substantial waiting lists in many classes, and places will be offered to waiting families after 4 p.m. on February 5.

Thank you for your continued trust in us to provide a dynamic educational experience for your children. We understand the tremendous responsibility we have to our students, and we value the ongoing partnership we have with you!
Peabody Students Place in "Writer's Eye" Competition

Now in its 34th year, Writer’s Eye is an annual literary competition that challenges writers of all ages to use visual art as inspiration for the creation of original poetry and prose. Each year they select several works of art for Writer’s Eye, and interactive tours of the art selections are offered from September through November. Due to pre-planned building work carried out by the University this fall, Writer’s Eye “tours” were conducted by Zoom all through the fall—117 conversations with school groups from 30 schools and they received over 600 entries.

We are pleased to announce that the following Peabody students placed in the poetry category for Grades 3-5:

2nd Place: Hazel Lyman, Grade 5
3rd Place: Felix Mason, Grade 5

Also, we are proud that Peabody alumna, Katharina Ravichandran '18, won first honorable mention in the high school poetry category. Congratulations!
Lego League Team

The Peabody Lego League Team has created a website for fun scavenger hunts around Charlottesville and generic ones that people can do in their neighborhoods. They would love for people to try it and give them feedback. Contact [email protected] to let them know what you think!

2020-21 Annual Fund

Your participation in the Peabody Annual Fund provides essential operating support to Peabody. The generosity of our community supports almost everything that keeps Peabody running, from salaries and classroom technology to arts and supplies. This year, we are also faced with increased expenses for items such as technology infrastructure upgrades, outdoor learning spaces, additional cleaning supplies and protective equipment, and additional aid to Peabody students and families who felt the financial impact of COVID-19. We hope that you will support Peabody in this area and that you will keep in mind that your Annual Fund gift, of any size, really matters to the school.

Thank you in advance for your consideration of a gift to Peabody School for the 2020-21 year and for being such strong supporters of our wonderful school!
