WEEK OF JUNE 18, 2018
Watch Our Vacation Bible School Video

More than 300 children enjoyed a fun-filled week of activities in early June during Joy Story Vacation Bible School. With the help of 15 parents and 56 student volunteers, children stayed busy with a wide range of projects. They looked at different Bible stories of friendship throughout the week, from Naomi and Ruth to Nathaniel and Philip; played relay races and themed games; created art panels with footprints and frames with a Bible verse; and participated in outreach projects, which included designing prayer bracelets to send to El Salvador, making banners for service men and women, packaging rice and beans for the underserved in Houston and writing cards to children in Guatemala. Click the link below to watch a video of their fun activities.

Don't Forget to Send in Your Pledge This Summer

Many parishioners go away for the summer and we see a dip in our Sunday collections. But our expenses remain the same - the lights stay on, the air conditioning keeps running (thank goodness!) and we continue to provide support for various ministries and their important work.

You can keep making your pledge gifts a couple of ways:
  • Click here to make your gift or manage payments online.
  • Text "SMEC" to 73256 and you will be prompted to enter your chosen contribution amount along with a credit card number to a secure mobile site.
For more information about setting up your pledge to be on auto-pilot, contact Debbie Hutchison, Accounting Supervisor, at 713-985-3803 or dhutchison@stmartinsepiscopal.org.
