On Thursday, June 21, at 6 PM, The Church of St. Michael & St. George in Clayton will host a festival evensong for the feast of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist. This evensong and service of rededication is celebrated by the Order of St. John in St. Louis. Worshippers will enjoy glorious music and medieval pageantry and be invited to join in prayers for peace in the Holy Land and the welfare of the poor and sick. All are welcome!
The Order of St. John is both an active, practical charity and an order of chivalry headed by Queen Elizabeth II. The guest preacher, the Rev. Canon John W. Kilgore, MD, of the Anglican Diocese in Europe, the Episcopal Dioceses of Missouri and Virginia, is currently Interim Chaplain of All Saints’ Anglican Church, Rome, Italy.
For more information on the Order of St. John, please contact Dr. Thomas M. Hyers, MD, OStJ, at 314.567.5627 or 314.517.7116, or via e-mail at
