Earlier this year, CYF partnered with Alert Media to offer SafeSignal, a tool designed to improve caseworker safety .

For thirteen girls served by the Office of Children, Youth and Families (CYF), the school year will be off to a beautiful start, thanks to a back to school event held on August 21
Staffing changes at DHS

Over the last few months, the Department of Human Services has welcomed two new deputy directors as well as a senior leader for equity and inclusion to its staff .

Staff and families from the Office of Children, Youth and Families (CYF) Central Regional Office (CRO) gathered at PNC Park on July 30 to celebrate CRO's fathers. More than 40 individuals attended the event sponsored by Collaborative Council of Western Pennsylvania.
ARIA program provides opportunity, hope for local families

Since October 2017, the Department of Human Services (DHS) Office of Children, Youth and Families (CYF) has partnered with Familylinks to offer ARIA, a rental assistance program for families that are facing both homelessness and parental drug addiction .

On August 9, the DHS tech team held an expo at the Human Services Building to allow staff the opportunity to learn more about technology used at DHS. During the three-hour event, the tech team conducted demonstrations and distributed information on Microsoft products, Surface hubs and devices, iService, VoIP and mobile phones, and more.

Don Clark, deputy director of the Office of Intellectual Disability (OID), was selected as one of two recipients of the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania (CCAP) Affiliate Award

The 2018 Candidates' Comedy Night was, once again, a sold out success! Thanks to the candidates and attendees for supporting the event. More than $30,000 was raised to benefit children under the care of child welfare agencies throughout the Commonwealth.
