SURVEY WINNERS!
Thank you to all our parents who completed the survey sent on May 24. We appreciate your responses. Three lucky parents' names were drawn on July 1 and each will receive a $100 Amazon gift card. LOCAL HERO:   Blue Ridge School's Dean of Students Tony Brown was selected as one of the winners of the 2018 Allen & Allen Hometown Heroes Award. The award celebrates acts of kindness and heroism throughout Richmond, Charlottesville, Fredericksburg and surrounding areas. Tony was selected for his involvement in a number of community service projects. For more on this story, click here. 
 


SUMMER TRIPS:
Headmaster Trip Darrin left a week ago on a tour of Asian countries. He stopped in Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Hong Kong and Shenzhen to visit with current and new families. This week he's in Japan and will visit Thailand next.

Mrs. Marcia Kozloski arrived in Spain this weekend to attend a three-week course on Spanish Language and Culture offered by the  University of Santiago de Compostela. Marcia is the chair of the Foreign Language Department. She teaches Spanish and Portuguese.

Mr. Peter Bonds is heading to the 2018 International Boys School Coalition's (IBSC) Annual Conference, July 8 - 11. This year's conference is hosted by The Southport School, Gold Coast, Australia. The 2018 theme is "Our Boys, Their Future: Learning to Lead." Teachers and researchers were invited to participate and share their wisdom and experience with colleagues from around the world.
