August Update

Upcoming Weekly Events
   
Sunday School: Sundays beginning September 9
9:30 - 10:15 AM, All Saints Center
We invite ALL 6th - 12th graders to join us at youth Sunday School. Join us at 9:15 AM for doughnuts and bagels prior to class starting! Questions? Contact Hannah Flack. 
 
6th - 8th Grade: Room 209
Middle Schoolers will continue with the Weaving God's Promises curriculum. Youth will become engaged through prayer, story, and multiple activities, and are taught connections to Episcopal traditions and the seasons of the church year.  
 
9th - 12th Grade: Room 204
High Schoolers will engage with Teen Text, a diverse and educational curriculum that encourages youth to "go deep, be real, and let go." Every week, the youth will work with the following central questions: What is happening in the story? How is this happening in the world around me? How is this story my own story?  
Faith Foundations (Confirmation): Room 200
 
This class is designed for youth in 10th - 12th grades to help them gain a deeper understanding of the Christian faith, what it means in the Episcopal context, and how they fit into the tradition.  
   
 
Episcopal Youth Community (EYC)   
Sunday Evenings beginning September 9, 5:00 - 7:30 PM, All Saints Center
5:00 - 6:00 PM - Middle School EYC, All Saints Center Gym
6:00 - 6:30 - Meal for all youth, All Saints Center Room 100
6:30 - 7:30 PM - High School EYC, All Saints Center Gym
Our EYC mission is to provide a community that offers our youth opportunity to work, engage, and grow with one another in their faith through fun and fellowship. Dinner is $5 per week or $60 for the semester. Payment is taken at the door on Sunday evening via cash or check (please write check Attn: Christ Church). Questions? Contact Hannah Flack.

Happening #80: November 16 - 18, Camp Gravatt Conference Center, Aiken, SC
Happening #80 is for rising 10 - 12th grade youth. Happening is a weekend that allows youth to experience God and community more deeply during a weekend of discovery and reflection. Register online by October 29. Questions? Contact Hannah Flack.

Safeguarding God's People Training

Join us for our Safeguarding God's People training this summer to become certified through this Diocesan program. This certification is required to participate in all youth events! Register online.

Can you help with Sunday School breakfast this fall?  
We are looking forward to resuming our weekly Sunday school classes for our youth on Sunday, September 9. We are looking for volunteers to help provide breakfast (bagels, doughnuts, or other simple breakfast items)for our middle and high school youth from 9:15 - 9:30 AM in the All Saints Center. Can you help with youth group meals this fall?  
We are looking forward to resuming our weekly youth group Sunday evening programming on Sunday, September 9. We are looking for volunteers to help provide dinner for middle and high school youth. Youth enjoy dinner from 6:00 - 6:30 PM in the All Saints Center downstairs lobby. We are looking for helpers to assist with set up, clean up, picking up catering orders, and bringing in desserts.
