Georgetown Student Selected for NIH Medical Research Scholars
The National Institutes of Health has selected Cameron Fick (M'19) as one of only 37 students for its 2018-2019 Medical Research Scholars Program class. The program helps cultivate future physician-scientists by immersing them in basic, clinical and translational research and providing them with mentorship training along the way.

Biochemistry major Patrick Mulcahey (C'19) has been awarded a Barry Goldwater Scholarship, a prestigious national scholarship for students who excel in mathematics, engineering and the natural sciences, for his research on improving the design of biocompatible devices and implants. Mulcahey conducted the research in the lab of Jong-in Hahm, PhD, a professor in the department of chemistry.
