A New School Year Lifted Up

Parents, teachers, and staff gathered around Lake Pointe students this week to pray over them and the new school year. With the start of the 2018-2019 year, student life devotions and activities focus on how to live a life that shows authentic faith, even when it comes to academics and school activities.

LPA Shirts for Sale
There are still a few LPA shirts for sale as a MAC fundraiser. There are limited adult sizes (L-XXL) and a few in every youth size available for purchase.


Worship Team Vision Night

Picnic in the Rain
Rain couldn't stop the traditional first day secondary family picnic. Even with a storm around, secondary families enjoyed a meal together and celebrated Mr. Lemmon's birthday under the Westminster Park pavilion.

Get to Know Your Teachers
Secondary student tested their knowledge of their teachers Friday afternoon. Teams competed in guessing which teachers gave what answer to questions such as "Who is your favorite superhero?" and "What do you enjoy most about summer?"

First Days Excitement
The campus was abuzz with excitement Monday and Thursday as students began a new school year. Elementary and secondary students enjoyed opportunities to reconnect with returning classmates and meet new classmates.


Digging into Ancient History
Mrs. Harvey's 5th grade class had a small-scale, hands-on experience of what a life of an archaeologist is like. During their dig, they found items that they may find at an dig site for an ancient civilization.


Come out to support the Mariners at the first home matches of the season. Men's soccer play at 5 p.m. at Oakridge Middle, and Women's Volleyball begin their matches at 5 p.m. at Lake Wylie Christian assembly; both teams will face Westminster Catawba. For more information, click here.
