August 10, 2018
Well, you missed it.

But there's still a chance to get on board with the membership drive this fall! We can bring this workshop to you! Just get a small group together - at least three - and we'll come to you with lots of great ideas to get this party started!

We have created a Google drive with materials you may find useful when you TALK (best done 1:1) with new employees and other potential members. Here is the link:   https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Mbda-SmMPsryxv7s3dNY6k8eRCsqMhIP

We just sent this link and a copy of YOUR LOCAL'S 2018-19 membership form to your Local President. Contact us if you need another copy.

Also available is the WEAC WELCOME PROGRAM - new dates and locations added:  http://weac.org/2018/04/24/membership-drive-training-registration/

New employee orientation is just around the corner! It's a perfect time to reach out and support the new employees and ASK them to join us.

Political Action
This is an 11.0101(10)(b)(1) communication with WEAC members

The Gubernatorial Primary is Tuesday, August 14, 2018
What is your plan for voting?
Offices on this PARTISAN primary ballot are Governor, U.S. Senator, U.S. Representative, odd-numbered Wisconsin State Senate seats, and all Wisconsin Assembly seats.

How the primary works
primary election is an election in which registered voters select a candidate that they believe should be a political party's candidate for elected office to run in the general election. They are also used to choose convention delegates and party leaders. Primaries are state-level and local-level elections that take place prior to a general election. Wisconsin utilizes an open primary system; registered voters do not have to be members of a party to vote in that party's primary. [40] [41] [42]

No Crossover Voting
Electors may vote for candidates of only one political party. Select a political party ballot. On the selected ballot, vote for the candidates of your choice by placing a mark in the space designated next to the candidate's name. Or, write in the name of a person for whom you desire to vote. If you vote for candidates of more than one party, no votes will be counted.
