Therefore, we want to invite you to take a break from all the bad news that seems to at times be overwhelming and let us offer up a little bit of good news in what's happening around your Region.

UPCOMING REGIONAL EVENTS

The theme of this year's Regional Assembly is COURAGE and is based on two important scriptures: Micah 6:8 and Mathew 5:13-16. We believe as followers of Jesus Christ that we are called to be courageous in giving witness through our lives and our words of what it means to live as a beloved human family. We need to be courageous in lifting up the values of love, compassion, justice and peace so that we can be active participants in God's redemptive mission in the world.

Our featured speakers will be Civil Rights activist, and Poor People's Campaign leader,  Rev. Dr. William Barbour, and General Minister and President of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ),  Rev. Terry Hord OwensRegister today!

There are two ways to provide input: participate in the  listening session (English & Spanish) at University Christian Church on August 5 (1:00 - 2:30 pm), or complete an online survey in  EnglishSpanish, or  Korean. Learn more about the search process   Here

DE LUZ RETREAT CENTER

The Pacific Southwest Region has purchased the De Luz Retreat Center in Fallbrook following a proposal to our Regional Board from the pastors and congregations in District 8. This facility is intended to serve the congregations of District 8 as well as congregations throughout the Region, with a primarily focus on our Hispanic churches whose ministries have a strong weekend retreat component. The District 8 churches will form an oversight committee along with a Regional representative and they will support the management and care of the retreat center. to be a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world.

OUR VISION, to be a faithful, growing church that demonstrates true community,  deep Christian spirituality and passion for justice (Micah 6:8); and,

OUR MISSION, to be and to share the Good News of Jesus Christ, witnessing, loving and  serving from our doorsteps "to the ends of the earth". (Acts 1:8)
