IN MEMORIAM
Southwest Florida was devastated on Saturday, December 7th to learn that sisters Ann Wilson, 56 and Janet Wilson, 52 lost their lives in a tragic car accident on Daniels Parkway and Brookshire Lane in south Fort Myers.

Many of our Chamber Members will remember Janet as the Communications Specialist for Lee County. Before that, she worked in Public Relations for the Canterbury School, and did marketing for the Edison & Ford Winter Estates — but most of her career was spent in local TV news where she worked behind the scenes at both Waterman Broadcasting and WINK News.

Ann and Janet were enthusiastic community volunteers and most recently were working on a project to collect holiday gifts for the kids of the Salvation Army, Abuse, Counseling, and Treatment, Inc. (ACT), and the Children’s Advocacy Center.

There will be a celebration of Ann and Janet’s lives at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center, where Janet was a Board Member, on Saturday, Dec. 28th at 2:00 in the afternoon. All are welcomed to attend.
SEEKING SPONSORS FOR WOMEN IN BUSINESS
Women in Business is dedicated to empowering women to reach their full potential. A variety of networking and educational programs are offered throughout the year, typically the first Wednesday of every month from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Approximately 50-75 people are in attendance at the monthly meetings featuring a theme to enhance business and networking skills. Although the group is called "Women in Business," many men attend these meetings and are encouraged to get involved.

There are 2 opportunities each month to sponsor Women in Business:

Scholarship Sponsor: $125
The Women in Business Scholarship Fund supports non-traditional students, demonstrating financial need, with preference given to single, divorced, or widowed individuals with children. Monthly Scholarship Sponsors are included in press releases, on the Chamber’s website, on social media platforms, and in weekly emails sent to more than 5,000 people.

Monthly Event Sponsor: $300
Event Sponsors are provided with a table at their sponsored event where they can share information about their company with event attendees, and are given 2 minutes to speak to the group. Their company is also included in press releases, on the Chamber’s website, on social media platforms, and in weekly emails sent to more than 5,000 people.
