Our national office has made an important change to this upcoming charter renewal period for all units: All adults registering must complete a new background authorization. Again, this is for all adults no matter when the last application was submitted.

We're down to the last 100 centennial anniversary council shoulder patches in the Scout Shop. Limited time only, we won't be running these again next year! Pick up yours today to commemorate the year.

Next Thursday, October 10 - We will be hosting an information night with everything Camporall related. All parents and Scout leaders are invited to come get first hand info on logistics, check-in, and more. Led by event chair Bob Colley. Location and info here.

Two days ago we announced a new insurance recovery fee to be implemented this current charter renewal season. This is in addition to an increase in the national registration fee, the amount not yet known.

We did it! Thanks to all of you, we registered more Scouts in September than we did last September! Don't forget, we still have yard signs and new flyer designs available. Let's keep up the momentum in October.

Several units have already sold over $10,000 in popcorn this fall! Have you seen them at stores around town? We have plenty of popcorn in stock for Scouts who want to begin selling to earn funds for Scouting.

Sunday November 3 - Scout Day returns at the Aquarium in Long Beach in just a few weeks. Back this year: choose a guided museum tour, a harbor boat cruise, and self-guided activity sheets here.
