Currently we have 215 families pledging $1,188,000. We are at 99% of our goal of $1,200,000 in pledge income for 2020. We are looking for 100% participation from the 250 families who pledged last year. Also, if you are pledging online, please let us know what your pledge plans are for 2020.

Doggie Lunch Play Group - Tomorrow
Please bring your "user friendly" doggie and your brown bag lunch to the Great Hall (Parish House-470 Maple) every other Friday from 12:30-1:30PM for romping (for the four-legged ones) and chatting (for the two-legged ones). The Great Hall is totally enclosed and completely tiled which makes it the perfect place to let our beloved doggies burn off some steam. Please invite your friends.

Rummage has a New Leader!
The Rummage Steering Committee is thrilled to announce the appointment of our next Rummage Director! Please join us in welcoming Tika Walsh as the next leader of our largest outreach ministry.
Tika has been an active member of Christ Church since the age of 3. Most recently she served as Warden of the church under Christopher and is currently a member of the choir, the handbell choir and the Benevolence Committee. Tika's Rummage experience runs deep, having served as co-chair of the Women's Department for the past 9 years. Prior to that she was co-chair of the Curtain Department (yes, there used to be such a thing!) for two years.
Tika has significant experience leading and working collaboratively with groups of volunteers, not only at Christ Church but with other organizations within our community. Tika's professional career is that of Registered Nurse, which is reflected in her calm, caring demeanor and passion for service that makes a difference. We know that this experience will serve her well as she joins the Rummage team and Christ Church staff on January 1, 2020.
Tika and her husband, Kevin, live in Wilmette. They have raised three wonderful sons at Christ Church: Tanner (23), Reilly (20) and Cam (19).

Connections - January 9 - Second Thursday
"Windows into Heaven"
Icons are sometimes called "Windows into Heaven" or "the Gospel in color." They have the capacity to draw us deeper into relationship with God. In this presentation we will contemplate several important icons and let them lead us into prayer. The Rt. Rev. Jeffrey D. Lee is the twelfth bishop of the Diocese of Chicago serving since February 2008. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Nashotah House Seminary. He and his wife, Lisa Rogers Lee, have two children, Katherine and Jonathan.
Childcare provided for all ages of children.

Christ Church's 8th annual winter women's retreat will be Saturday February 1, 2020. Women of all ages and life stages, members of any church or none, are warmly welcome. Renowned author and spiritual leader
Vinita Hampton Wright
will be our guest presenter, on the theme of
Spiritual Confidence: How to Recognize God's Movement in Your Life.
We'll gather at Church House from 8:00AM to 3:30PM for fellowship, reflection, stillness, and worship.
Cost: $45 per person (includes breakfast and lunch). Scholarship help available. Childcare provided as needed.

Calling All Grand Receipts - Deadline for 2019 is Dec. 23
Thank you all very much for our robust collection of receipts from The Grand. Each year we raise a good sum of money for our Youth Ministry. The Grand does have a strict deadline that no 2019 receipts can be submitted after January 5. Therefore, we ask you to turn in all receipts by December 23 for processing. Receptacles for receipts are located in the Prevost Cloister and the Parish Office. Thank you!

The 2040 Committee's discernment process started and ended with  asking how God is calling CCW to be a community of faith in the Episcopal tradition.
The Committee concluded that God is calling on CCW's abundance, to bear witness to God's presence in our lives and to take action to ensure our vitality and long-term sustainability.
