golf outings raise funds for student scholarships
The Dublin Open and Cleveland OHIO Memorial golf outings are major fundraising events for the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine Society of Alumni & Friends. They're also fun and exciting!
Scenes from golfing

Last month, the Cleveland OHIO Memorial golf outing at Chagrin Valley Country Club saw 50 participants - alumni, administrators, local doctors and a couple serious golfers - take to the course for a prefect day. "We are happy to announce the Cleveland OHIO Memorial outing raised $15,000 for the Cleveland Clinic Physician Diversity Scholarship," said Laura Whitt, senior director of professional outreach and alumni affairs.

Special thanks to the many sponsors who helped make both the Dublin and Cleveland outings successful!

body donor memorial service connects poignant memories
Cover of Memorial Service bulletin The Heritage College's Body Donor Program enables people to donate their bodies, following their death, to further medical education and research. These selfless donations are invaluable to the training of future physicians and other health care professionals.

On Friday, September 27, Heritage College students, along with students from Ohio University's physician assistant and physical therapy programs, gathered to memorialize and give thanks to those who donated their bodies to enhance student research. Family and friends were invited give words about their loved one, giving students an opportunity to learn more about their "first patient."

If you are interested in bequeathing your body to the Body Donor Program of Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, please call 740.593.2171.
update your contact information
Did you know the average American moves once every five years?  That number increases for recent medical school graduates heading off to residency and fellowships - and it's true for not-so-recent alums, too!

Click here to update your information if you've moved, changed employers or started using a new email address. Good information helps us continue to connect students to alumni mentors and  to share the great things our alums are doing across the state, throughout the nation and around the world!
