Awarded project to start early 2017

SENSR TO MONITOR BEVERLY DRAWBRIDGE

SENSR was recently awarded the Beverly Draw structural monitoring project in Massachusetts. The Beverly Drawbridge carries the Rockport and Newburyport Commuter Rail Line over the Danvers River. This project involves monitoring the existing bridge during existing structure rehabilitation efforts, ensuring the safety of area inhabitants and the protection of the structures.

The entire structure including the mechanical components will be replaced and the existing substructure will be re-used.

SENSR will be monitoring the structural behavior of the pivot pier before, during and after construction of the new superstructure. SENSR began this spring by collecting data to develop a structural baseline. Construction is slated for early 2017.

SENSR will be working in conjunction with the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) and HNTB.

"The Beverly Drawbridge replacement project is vital to the safety and reliability of the MBTA commuter rail traffic, and SENSR monitoring technologies is honored to be a part of the project team. By providing monitoring services during this high profile construction project, not only are we keeping a close eye on this critical structure, but providing piece of mind to MBTA, HNTB and the traveling public," said Walt Bleser, President of SENSR Monitoring Technologies.
