Connections | August 2018

Every Woman's Place for Support, Connections and Community.
Explore Calgary's HERstories During Our Feminist Walk
Join us on our annual walk Thursday, August 16 to uncover the HERstories of our neighbouring communities! We will highlight the amazing women who have worked to make our communities stronger and discuss what still needs to be done. RSVP or learn more here.

We recognize that a two-hour walk is not accessible for everyone. The walk takes around 40 minutes, but it will be spread out with multiple stops and chances for breaks. If you have questions about your accessibility needs and participating in this walk, please contact Amanda at [email protected] or call
403-264-1155.

Lend Your Voice to Keep the Low Income Transit Passes Program
Funding for the Low Income Transit Pass sliding scale (which enables people in deep poverty to get passes for $5.15) is set to end in 2019.

Fair Fares  is a local group of low-income people and community organizers working to ensure this program continues. Together, we are collecting stories to help advocate in  favour  of this program. We know that thousands of people across Calgary have benefited from the pass.
