Andrea Kinsinger, PT at Optimus Prosthetics, just returned from a 3 week long mission trip to Malawi, Africa.
"My husband, Jay, and I had a wonderful time serving orphans, widows, children with disabilities and pastors in Malawi, Africa with 11 teens from our youth group. We did many outreaches including Vision clinics where we handed out 300+ glasses and vacation Bible school outreaches with anywhere from 250 - 1000 kids. I taught 40 Malawian people how to do ROM(range of motion), strength and balance activities for disabled kids so they can go back to their respective villages and teach the parents of these kids.
Jay and I had a unique opportunity to represent Optimus in Africa working with a 31 yo gentleman, Mark, who lost his arm in an accident 6 years ago. His arm is basically worn out, but Jay did some modifications to give him so more functional use with it."
