Ray-Pec East Middle School invites you to the musical "13," presented by the 8th Grade Music Theatre students. 

The show opened on Thursday, Dec. 12. Additional performances will be at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, at the Ray-Pec High School theatre. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased by calling the box office line at 816-892-3999, ext 2400.

"13" tells the story of 13-year-old Evan Goldman. Following a move from New York City to a small town, Evan grapples with his parents' divorce and navigates the complicated social circles of a new school. 

High School to present "Guys and Dolls"

Ray-Pec High School is currently in rehearsal for the musical "Guys and Dolls." Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Feb. 6, 7, and 8; and at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 9.

South Middle School to present "Hello, Dolly!"

The 8th grade Music Theatre students at South Middle School will present the show "Hello, Dolly!" in May. Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. May 14 and 16, and at 2:30 p.m. May 17, at the Ray-Pec High School theatre.
School Board candidate filing begins on Dec. 17
Three positions are available with 3-year terms
Qualified persons interested in running for a position on the Ray-Pec School Board are invited to file to be a candidate in the April 7, 2020, election. You may file at the Administrative Services Center, 21005 S. School Rd.
 
Filing will begin at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2019, and will continue during the district's regular business hours (8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) Monday through Friday. Filing will not occur on days that the school district's offices are closed due to inclement weather or on holidays when the district's offices are closed. Filing will end at 5 p.m. on Jan. 21.

There are three (3) positions available with three-year terms.  Board members whose terms expire in 2020 are Paul Coffman, Ruth Johnson and Kim York.

Winter Break
High School finals schedule
Ray-Pec High School will observe a modified schedule Dec. 17-20 for semester finals. 
  • Finals for 1st period classes will be Tuesday, Dec. 17, as part of a full day of classes. 
  • Finals for 2nd and 4th periods will be Dec. 18. 
  • Finals for 3rd and 5th periods will be Dec. 19. 
  • Finals for 6th and 7th periods will be Dec. 20. 
The high school will dismiss at 11:46 a.m. on Dec. 18, 19, and 20.  Finals schedule

Winter Break
Ray-Pec schools will dismiss early on Friday, Dec. 20, for Winter Break. Here are the early dismissal time:
  • Ray-Pec High School at 11:46 a.m.
  • Middle Schools: 11:50 a.m.
  • Elementary schools: 1:05 p.m.
School is not in session for students Dec. 23 through Jan. 3. Staff return to work on Friday, Jan. 3. Classes resume for students on Monday, Jan. 6.
