Dear Parents,
As the 2017-18 school year comes to a close, I want to share with you what a great year it has been. Together we have learned so much and have shared experiences that will remain with us for years to come.The strength of our school community makes it a wonderful place to learn. I am so proud of our students as I watch them grow academically and socially.
We say goodbye to our third-grade students as they head off to Pineview Elementary School in the fall. We have enjoyed having them here, and we hope that they will come back and visit us from time to time as they continue on in their educational journey. We wish them all the best.
We will also be saying goodbye to several members of our staff. Mrs. Prell and Mrs. Niemann are taking a new exciting path into retirement. Mrs. Weis and Mr. Monte will be joining the staff at Pineview. Mrs. Tsai is moving with her family to Milwaukee and Mr. Rodriguez and Ms. Hendricks are leaving to pursue other adventures. They have all been a wonderful part of our Westside family and we will miss them greatly!!!
Special thanks to our parents who have contributed in ways small, large, and unimaginable! Thank you for getting your kids to school on time each day and for helping them in the learning process; the partnership between home and school is important.
In closing, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all of our students at Westside Elementary for a job well done! I wish you all a very happy, safe and enjoyable summer.
